Veterinarians usually search by code for efficiency while nurses or receptionist often prefer to search by description. In NLSVet you can do both and the default search option is individual for each computer to facilitate everyone's work progress. Searching by barcode is a third default search option. The search zooms in on the item as you type.

Just the necessary information is visible for each item, but additional details can be viewed in hover hint or with a right-click to quickly access item detail screen.
